Tom Nicholson received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry at the University of Waterloo in 1998, and since then has gained over 12 years of progressive experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

He started his career as a synthetic organic chemist in API process development and moved into analytical research and development after 2 years. Tom has held senior analytical chemist positions both in the fields of API and finished dosage formation prior to joining Alphora in 2005 where he is the head of the Analytical Services Department.

Tom has overseen the development and validation of multiple complex analytical methods supporting early phase to commercial API manufacturing. The analytical laboratory at Alphora has been successfully audited by the FDA.
